It's surf season and we are stoked! Join our ISA/ILS certified instructors for an intro to surfing freshwater swell.

Lessons are ~90 minutes long and include dry-land and in-water instruction.

You will learn:
• Water safety
• Forecasting
• Surf etiquette
• Equipment info/care
• How to paddle/pop up/stand
• How to catch a wave

Lessons include all necessary equipment (board + wetsuit).

This lesson is best for beginners to novice surfers.

***Students must have basic swimming skills.

***Students 12 years and under must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.

Please note: due to the nature of fresh water surf, we cannot guarantee waves. In the event your surf lesson falls flat, we will proceed with a flat water surf lesson (very valuable for beginners and still loads of fun).

How Much? - Lessons are $100 (HST included) per person. Equipment rental is included.

Where do I meet? - Meet at the Goderich Shop! - 80 Courthouse Square, Goderich ON

(Feel free to drop by early to check out the shop or grab a coffee, latte, or cappuccino from our Skate Cafe!)

Parking? - Free in downtown Goderich. Parking by the beach is metered.

What if there are no waves? - We will proceed with a flat water lesson.

Can I cancel my reservation? - At least 24 hours before the scheduled lesson.

Can I keep surfing after the lesson? - Yes, but you'll be responsible for returning the board, on your own, to the shop when you're done.

Looking to transition from beginner to intermediate surfer? We can help bridge the gap with our 90 minute advanced surf lesson. This lesson is best for a competent beginner surfer looking to advance their skills.

In this lesson we will focus on:

• Turning left and right while riding white wash

• Paddling out to the back water

• Surf etiquette while in the line up

• Catching an unbroken wave

• Board control while dismounting

• Pop up and paddling critique

***Students must have taken our surf wave basics lesson (or have equivalent experience).

***Students 12 years and under must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.

Parking? - Downtown is free. Beach parking is metered.

SUP lessons are 90 minutes long and comprise both dry-land and on-water instruction where you will learn:

I’ve never used a SUP before, should I take a Lesson? - Yes

Will I get wet? - If you fall off your board, yes you will get wet, but that's half the fun!

Is it easy to get back on the board? - Yes! Our trained instructors will teach you how.

This 90-minute lesson will teach you valuable skills used in SUP racing and SUP Surfing. Available as private (1-on-1), semi-private, or group lessons.

In our advanced SUP lesson you will learn:

- Proper Paddle Technique

- Understand the ‘Reach - Catch - Power - Recovery’ Phases

- Advanced turns - crossbow and pivot

- Flat Water Paddle Surf Foundation
